There may be multiple subscription plans available for each data product. Each plan allows you to gain access to the data within that data product. Subscription plans are applied by the data product owner and define important parameters relating to your usage of the data.

To subscribe to a data product:

  1. Go to the Exchange on the navigation bar.

  2. Click on the Data Product tile you are interested in.

  3. Click either the Subscription plans tab or View Subscription Plans button.

  4. Select the subscription plan you would like to use.

    1. You can choose a "self-service" subscription plan (if available), and immediately start to use the data product

    2. Or you can choose a "managed" subscription plan, where you will need to contact the owner of the data product via email.

  5. Click the check-box to accept the terms and conditions of using the data product, if applicable.

    1. These provide more details around the approved usage of the data within the data product and are different from the terms and conditions of using the platform which were accepted during registration

  6. Select Subscribe. When a subscription is active you can use the data according to the terms of the subscription. The subscription must allow Spaces or Spaces and Export to use the data on platform, in a Space, and Export or Spaces and Export to take the data off platform

Warning: If you see a yellow warning box against a subscription plan this means you have already been allocated a subscription and need to accept the terms and conditions before it can be used.

Now you are ready to examine the contents of the data product on platform, in a Space, or off platform via an export to an endpoint
